Warm Regards

Warm Regards,

Welcome to the Raccoon County blog. Here, you can find quick updates from Ty Tracey’s and my current writing situation, news on our books, and other notes that come to mind. Personally, I am thrilled to share a few book reviews with you as well.

As I write for Silverstones Book Blog, I will offer my non-fantasy reviews and thoughts on the traditional and indie publishing industries here. I’ll spread the love to all who want to hear my useless thoughts and murmurings, like the local at the bar who is always there with a story to tide you over while you wait to get the bartender’s attention. I may also post a few of my older fantasy book reviews. Your support and interest in our work means so much, and we are excited to share more with you.

You can find links to Ty Tracey’s books and mine here at Raccoon County Press. Most of the time, these point to Amazon. When time allows, I suggest checking out bookshop.org, creating a log-in, and picking a favorite bookshop. Each sale on bookshop.org supports the indie bookshop you have favored on its site. Buying a few books and supporting your local bookshop is worth your time and money. I suggest Silverstones Books for fantasy and science fixtures and Shelf Life and Learned Owl for your literary pursuits.

Currently I am editing Maiden of Storms as the direct sequel to Bastards of Liberty. It’s book two of the Conspiracy of Crows trilogy loosely based on the beginning of the Revolutionary War only with, you know, goblins, mages, and knights instead of muskets and red coats and stuff. The sequel begins directly after the events of Bastards of Liberty, I mean directly, like the following day after the historical event it ended on.

There is also a very good rumor that Ty Tracey has picked up his pen again, and maybe working on something new, something special, something dark. Keep an eye on here or his own Facebook, newsletter, and webpage, as you may get more breadcrumbs on what he’s plotting. I have seen and heard things that make my skin crawl yet I want know more.

Cheers,
Matthew~
